About Black Diamond's book After being sexually abused and having a child out of incest, it's safe to say Erica lived a life that most grown women couldn't survive. Erica was a fighter even when her life spiraled out of control. The streets became home with hard lessons that forced her to vow she would never love again. That is until Drama Montez came on the scene. Born into a family who ruled the streets with an iron fist, Drama knew he had to have Erica the moment he saw her. So when a chance encounter forces their paths to cross, each will find themselves wondering if they are willing to risk it all in the name of love.

I guess you can call me a beginner when it comes to writing, even though I’ve been at it for a few years now, I have yet to master the craft. My first book began as a challenge from a good friend. I didn’t take it serious at the time but found it interesting enough to add words to the book every so often, it took me 4 years to complete my first manuscript. Not that I didn’t have time to write, but in those days, I would rather use a pen or a pencil as a weapon, than a tool to better myself. I found that the more I wrote in my book, the more I stayed under the radar from other inmates, and officers looking for drama in their lives. Writing allowed my mind to travel to places I could only dream of, behind those prison walls that held my body hostage. I became serious with my penmanship a few years later, it became therapy while doing the long stretch in the feds, many people that know me will say that writing saved my life. And I would have to agree with them somewhat because I walked a darker road back then, there were times when living the next day was uncertain, I had a bitter outlook on life. I’ve also been told that I’m the most unlikely author to have ever picked up a pen, and paper, due to my past and uneducated views.
My genre is Street Lit, but God willing I will write in many other genres in the future. I have written a three-book series so far and working on a stand-alone. Cut from the Cloth is the first book. Followed by Live by the Cloth and to end the series, you have Die by the Cloth. Though the books are hood thrillers there is a message in each and every one of them, mostly saying to people that choose to live the thug or gangster life, there can be better way to live your lives if you want it bad enough. Even though banging seemed cool at the time, nine out of ten people don’t farewell at the end of the day, and that’s a very high percentage especially for black gang members. 83% of blacks die or go to jail compared to white gang members, and 40% for Mexicans. I learned the hard way to never follow in another man’s footsteps. For me that’s what gang banging was personally. I made enemies of men for no reason. Other than a cloth they wore in their pockets, a flag that wasn’t my own. I know now that the only way to find your truth in life is to walk your own path and no one else’s. I was raised in Los Angeles, south central, but I’ve lived in many places and hoods around the city. For me writing became my peace, salvation, and reason to go on, were there was none before. Thank you for taking the time out to view my books, they are meant to help never hinder. Hopefully, you will enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing it. About Kinkaid's book Cut and Shoot, Texas wasn't meant for black folk to live in, especially young Hue Jones. Hue was often warned never to approach or try to interact with the white folk from the small town he resided in, no matter what. Especially the ones from the other side of the river. He'd heard many stories about people who shared the same-colored skin as him being beaten severely just for looking in their direction, but he remembered one favor from his father, "Promise me that you will never do it, Son?" Those words echoed in Hue's mind repeatedly, all the while staring at the little white girl sitting on a swing waving for him to walk across the bridge to play with her with a big smile on her face. Hue had never witnessed such joy on the faces of the people he knew. But crossing over to experience what the little white girl was feeling could kill him if he was not careful. About her book: Never Trust A Big Butt & A Smile- Mo’ money, mo’ problems – the mantra of the streets. Truer words have never been spoken; just ask Money Mike and Nook, two brothers from Chicago who reign supreme. Nothing was ever handed to the two brothers; from a young age they were under the tutelage of Uncle Bleu who made sure they both knew how to get it out the mud and make sure their names rang bells. Making sure that their reign was respected and not solely based on fear, they enlisted the help of their boys Terrell and Tim and together, the four cause a shakeup on the Westside of Chicago like never before. Trouble arises in gangsta paradise when an unforeseen illness threatens to take Bleu’s life. But in the wake of bad news, a successor is chosen amongst the four but not all parties are happy and ready for the new King to be throned. What happens when jealously lurks in the shadows and a vixen is sent to the concrete jungle to snatch the crown and take it back to her man? BBD said it best, “Never trust a Big Butt and a Smile” author Caryn Lee weaves the tale to make you see why not every smile is to be trusted. https://www.amazon.com/Caryn-Lee/e/B00IQTL07O KT Roane is an award-winning published author and actress from Williamsburg, Virginia. About her book I wish I may I wish I might I wish to be loved, no popular, no tall, no petite, no strong, no beautiful, no rich, maybe I should be more spiritual. I know, I wish I was all of these things like the women on social media and television. Maxine Little was a wife, mother and entrepreneur. She was loved by many because of her beauty inside and out. However, she didn’t see herself in this way. She lived a fairytale life of perfection. Stuck in an unrealistic world of vanity and materialism. She cared deeply for her husband and children and wanted more than anything for them to reciprocate that love to her… which they did. Unfortunately, the love that was shown to Maxine was not enough for her, she felt it was mediocre at best. Maxine looked at life through stain glass mirrors, missing her reflection and the realism of her world. She denied being associated with the turmoil of her family. She only saw green grass, blue skies and butterflies. This caused everything she was accustomed to, to fall apart. This confusion Maxine adapted took her on a downward spiral of madness, broken hearts, criminality and the ultimate sacrifice of selling her soul to the underworld of jealousy. Will Maxine open her eyes and heart in time to redirect her mentality to grasp self, or will she let this self-loath and shallowness overtake her and risk losing everything that life has to offer. Find out as this story of CONFUSION unfolds! Dr. Slaughter is a published author and veteran educator with 30 years in both the urban and suburban school systems. Although Dr. Slaughter spends most of her professional time researching literacy and best practices, and writing, she enjoys leisure time with her husband of 29 years and two daughters. If there is any time left in her day, you can find Rachel with her nose in a good fiction multicultural book. About her book Daddy, REAd to Me (DREAM): The Virtual Abecedarium and Journal for Fathers and Sons is more than a book, it is a literacy experience between a father and son. The DREAM book provides fun activities that a father can do with his son while promoting reading. A father can become his son's “reading role model” by reading with him. It is true: A boy who has a father as a reading role model during his early literacy years is more likely to develop the behaviors of a literate person. Bria Madge (Aka Bri Deshai) is a 24 year old author born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. Her pen name actually comes from her childhood nick name and middle name combined.
