Meet Kneika Robbins

Kneika Robbins is the youngest of 4 daughters, a wife and mother of 2 boys. She started writing in the sixth grade after entering a poetry contest. Her mother inspired her to use her creativity through writing, art, sewing, crocheting, and more. She has a A.A. in Early Childhood Education, B.A. in Health Care Administration and currently obtaining her Masters in Infant-3 Specialist & Family Support.

She started working with children at the age of 19 and has been doing so ever since. Her experience includes homicidal/suicidal children, high risk families, early childhood educator, and substituting in multiple districts. Her passion to help others led to the development of 'Empowering Minds Inc'.

Writing was her outlet from stressful moments that she was experiencing. Losing her mother at a young age as she just became a young mother was a traumatic experience that led to a lot of uncertainty in what direction to go in next and pain. After experiencing different life changing events, she decided to get closer to God and take a different route to life. With doing so, she wanted to share how she left the darkness to enter the light of life. How she decided to start living versus just breathing everyday.

Her books are compiled of motivation, inspiration, and hope! Serious Thoughts started with some thoughts of her own and others. "Many people are afraid to express how they feel, because they are use to people thinking and speaking for them". While writing Speechless she went into the minds of the abused, depressed, uncertain, and blessed; as she highlighted things that this world is faced with and many don't want to talk about. Pain Changes You brought you three stories of pain and survival. Her first children book, Dean the Dinosaur Goes to Kindergarten displays the social and emotional needs of our children.  This book is being shared in Early Learning Center by the Deputy Superintendent of Topeka Schools District, classrooms, and  homes. Everyone hurts including our children!

Pain Changes You: You don't know pain until your vision has been impaired by tears of hurt and frustration. Innocence stripped and you were robbed from finding out who you are or who you could be. You will witness how to exit your darkness and venture into the light.
Dean the Dinosaur Goes to Kindergarten: A story of emotions that cause fear; the need for support and help with maintaining relationships. Will Dean receive the support he needs during the most crucial time in his development?
