Being a single parent is hard but raising teenagers should have its own category at the Oscars! My 16-year-old son is either texting or listening to music on his phone and says probably 5 words in between. The twins (Thing 1 and Thing 2) 13 years old (boy & girl) NO! It’s not cute or sweet anymore. I’m between getting grey hair and trying not to go to jail for causing bodily harm to one of them, before they do it to one another. While all of that is going on the unexpected decides to show up; BREAST CANCER – SERIOUSLY! Could you not have waited until the summer time or until the kids had graduated and were off to college. Nope she shows up in the middle of the school year, the middle of puberty and of course right when things are going great for my career.

​Here are how things went while I battled breast cancer and continued to be a single mother; at the same time. It wasn’t pretty nor was it easy but I hope you can see how strong you can be when you least expect it.

Tamela  C. Todd uses the transitions of her life to write her story of perseverance and growth. After surviving a home where her father’s mental health challenges fostered chaos, she mimicked the familiar dysfunction in her first marriage. My name is Londyn Lenz and I am 30yrs old. I have loved books since I was a child. Reading Dr. Seuss books, The Babysitters Club book set, R.L. Stein Goosebumps and Sweet Valley High book sets. My reading advanced as I became older. I got into urban-fiction when I was 16yrs old and was introduced to author Zane books. Born in Trenton NJ, Elijah Foreman has encountered many different pitfalls and shortcomings within the literary business.
