Meet Alycia Morris

Alycia Morris is a mother, author, motivational speaker, literary consultant and breast cancer survivor. She is the single mother of a 18 year old son and 15 year old twins (a boy and a girl). She was raised in Texas and now resides in Oklahoma City. Alycia has written a romance novel, two suspense-thrillers, a three book erotica series, a tell all story about battling breast cancer and two relationship manuals for men and women. She is a self published author who helps upcoming authors in the process of self publishing.

Being a single parent is hard but raising teenagers should have its own category at the Oscars! My 16-year-old son is either texting or listening to music on his phone and says probably 5 words in between. The twins (Thing 1 and Thing 2) 13 years old (boy & girl) NO! It’s not cute or sweet anymore. I’m between getting grey hair and trying not to go to jail for causing bodily harm to one of them, before they do it to one another. While all of that is going on the unexpected decides to show up; BREAST CANCER – SERIOUSLY! Could you not have waited until the summer time or until the kids had graduated and were off to college. Nope she shows up in the middle of the school year, the middle of puberty and of course right when things are going great for my career.

​Here are how things went while I battled breast cancer and continued to be a single mother; at the same time. It wasn’t pretty nor was it easy but I hope you can see how strong you can be when you least expect it.
