About her book:
Being a single parent is hard but raising teenagers should have its own category at the Oscars! My 16-year-old son is either texting or listening to music on his phone and says probably 5 words in between. The twins (Thing 1 and Thing 2) 13 years old (boy & girl) NO! It’s not cute or sweet anymore. I’m between getting grey hair and trying not to go to jail for causing bodily harm to one of them, before they do it to one another. While all of that is going on the unexpected decides to show up; BREAST CANCER – SERIOUSLY! Could you not have waited until the summer time or until the kids had graduated and were off to college. Nope she shows up in the middle of the school year, the middle of puberty and of course right when things are going great for my career.
Here are how things went while I battled breast cancer and continued to be a single mother; at the same time. It wasn’t pretty nor was it easy but I hope you can see how strong you can be when you least expect it.
