Travon Edwards is 33 years old, living in Deltona Florida. He is the author of Money Mac Murder, Project Baby, Married to the Mob, and Confessions of a Side Nigga. Travon is the proud owner of a vegan meal prep company in Florida called Vegan Takeout (@vegan_takeout) and a vegan skin care line called Liv Aesthetic (@liv_aesthetic).

He is currently signed to Gang Tales Publications, outlining the sequel to Project Baby.

Although Travon is originally from Florida, he spent a great deal of his life bouncing back and forth between Long Beach, California and Deltona/ Deland, Florida. He started writing as a way to cope with the loss of his grandmother. "I went crazy. I started talking to myself. I missed her so much that I would try to daydream as vividly as I could." His first novel (Money Mac Murder) started off as a diary. "I tried to remember the earliest conversation that I ever had with her. I told her that I wanted to be rich. Not sure what that meant, but I knew I wanted it."

After the success of Travon's first urban fiction novel, Stanley James from Gang Tales Publications reached out to sign him. After a couple of conversations, they came up with the concept for the story “Project Baby." "I was skeptical at first because we are from rival gangs and I could’ve swore he was trying to set me up. In an act of good faith he cut me a check before the story was even finished. This was the first time that I received a lump sum of money for my work, so the check he cut me felt like a million dollars. I didn’t have much faith in myself as an author, but the faith that Stanley has in me made me a believer in myself and my work. We went platinum in the streets coast to coast with Project Baby and we’re just getting started."

About Confessions of a Side Nigga

After serving six years in prison, Tyrone was eager to get his life back on track. He got a job at the local gym as a janitor, but the gym manager convinces him to become a personal trainer. Feeling like he’s finally got his life on track, he starts dating Jamesha...the local hood rat. She put it on him so good, that she had Tyrone pu**y whipped after the first night.

What Tyrone didn’t know was, Jamesha was dating Ray Ray... one of the most notorious shooters in the hood. Somehow, Ray Ray found out that Tyrone was smashing his girl and he came to see about him. After the altercation with Ray Ray, he decides to leave Jamesha alone.

Heartbroken, Tyrone decided to try and fill the void in his heart with as many different women as possible. Tyrone meets Pauline, a professor at the local University. During their training sessions together, she would vent to him about her failing marriage. When she discovers that her husband is cheating on her, she falls into a deep depression.

After missing several gym sessions, Tyrone began to worry. He went around to her apartment to check on her. She persuades him to drink with her. After having way too many drinks, they cross the line. Loving the way the Tyrone made her feel, plus not wanting to lose him as trainer. She offers to pay him separately for each service.

After a string of female clients, Tyrone gets his first male client. Bitcoin millionaire Brad Kensington. They click almost instantly. He invites Tyrone back to his yacht, where he introduces him to his wife Melissa. 5’5 with brown eyes..... Smile like the sunrise.

There was an undeniable chemistry between the two of them. Brad went out of town for business.... Tyrone made his move. He started dating Melissa behind Brads back. When Brad comes back from his business trip, he catches Tyrone in bed with Melissa. That’s when the sh*t hit the fan....

Anthony Arnold, born in Tampa and raised by his grandmother in a little town called Quincy in the Florida panhandle, wrote his first piece in the third grade and fell in love with writing ever since that moment; writing has become a comfort and a mainstay to keep him focused.  As an avid reader of all genres of literature, Anthony has found a particular passion for black history.

He believes that his ancestry and the ones that have come before him have given their blood, sweat and tears to make it possible for him to live a life of freedom and liberation.  Anthony is saddened to the fact that the current generation lacks knowledge and don’t seem to know or speak of family history, our history or black history.

Writing gives Anthony the ability to educate those that have no clue about the things that African Americans have faced and write of things that they will never be taught in schools, shedding light on the strength of our people.

Anthony’s love for fellow man grew during his service to our country where he served and was awarded numerous medals, including The Air Force Achievement Medal-1986, 1993 and 2001 and many more.

His desire is to show the younger generation where they come from and to let them know we are much more than what society has labeled us!

Winner of the 2015 National Poetry Awards Freedom Poet of the Year and the 2018 BHM Poet and the 2018 Ganspa people's choice award for July.

About his book

Winner of the 2015 National Poetry Award (Freedom Poet of the Year), Anthony Arnold is a poet that has always shed light on inequality and racism. He uses poetry to make the world understand the plight of black people. This is a necessary collection of poetry that shows love to the black community. Some pieces will make you weep with the sorrow of its reality, while others will make you full of pride and triumph. No matter what piece you read, just know that you will be moved with hope and a feeling of being seen and heard. “We are burying our people in record numbers and no one seems to have an answer. Not the leaders, not the police. No one. To live and die in Amerikkka!” –Anthony Arnold
