In 2008, after the death of her daughter's father, she used writing as a grieving mechanism. Already being an avid reader of urban fiction from greats such as Keisha Ervin, Kiki Swinson, Teri Woods, and Nikki Turner, she tried her hand and started writing short stories.
After years of nesting her talent, she decided to share her work in short stories on social media. With enough encouragement, she self-published her first book This Can’t Be Love: Nadia’s Story, where she made her debut into the writing world with her independent release, touching on the issue of domestic violence. After independently releasing four more titles, she found a publishing home under the leadership of urban best-selling author, Mz. Lady P. In 2017, after joining Mz. Lady P Presents, she released her first series under the company A Savage and His Lady. With consistent releases, Kyeate has a total of eight books under MLPP. With no plans on stopping anytime soon, Kyeate has high hopes of becoming a best selling author. About her book, "Once upon a Hood Love" Tendaji “Ten” Scott is a beast in the streets and not the most desirable thing to look at.
