Uterus Adventure - Belly Dancing
The Uterus Adventures™
In the summer of 2012, four women headed off for a girlfriends’ getaway. Excited, anxious and at times terrified, these ladies faced their fears and zip lined across the Red River Gorge in Kentucky! None of them knew that this experience would birth The Uterus Adventures.
Authors and advocates for “girl power,” Valerie J. Lewis Coleman and Karen Marie Reynolds Townsend have collaborated to bring The Uterus Adventures (UA) to YOU! UAs are ladies-only experiences and excursions designed for women who are willing to step outside their comfort zone to embrace the courage they never knew they had! These adventures will include single-day events and weekend excursions throughout the year. Each adventure will include empowerment workshops, a challenging adventure and time dedicated to debrief the experience.

An Afternoon of Belly Dancing!

Since the belly is the “home” of the uterus, what better way to launch our adventures? This adventure will focus on relieving stress, improving physical health and building confidence. With guidance and instruction from a professional belly dancer, we will learn the basics of this Middle Eastern art form and how it promotes a positive body image.

Dayton Book Expo - Fifth Annual
For the fifth consecutive year, hundreds of book lovers will convene at the Dayton Book Expo. The all-day event includes panel discussions for aspiring authors, activities for children in the Kidz Zone, spoken word and book signings! The event is free and open to public.
