B’Shone was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised on the short end of the Hyde Park neighborhood, in North Memphis. He graduated from Fairley High School, and attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri and LeMoyne -Owen College, in Memphis.

As a young man, B’Shone succumbed to the allure of street life. Soon, he found himself hanging with the wrong crowd, and his inability to walk away from trouble landed him in prison. With nothing but time on his hands, he started reading Street Literature, and became a major fan. It was not long before he realized, that many of the stories he was reading, were similar to his real-life experiences. With this in mind, he decided to throw his hat in the ring and enter the world of Urban Fiction. He became a “penhandler” and started hustling his writing talents by putting his knowledge of street life and his ability to create compelling stories to the test. His hard work and determination were manifested in his first literary efforts, Wrong Side of the Lake, Everybody Wants Her, The Evil Side of Her, Tangled in a Lover’s Web (co-authored with China) and coming soon; B’ Shone…How It All Started.

B’Shone resides in Memphis, Tennessee, and when he is not writing, he spends his time ministering and motivating children to break the glass ceiling, and to pursue their dreams.

He is a licensed barber, and in his neighborhood, his barber shop doubles as a safe haven, where he provides hot and cold meals to the homeless and hungry. Also, he selflessly gives his time, talents, and money to the elderly and others in need.

Barbara Davis is a native Oklahoman and a retired U.S. Air Force veteran.  She is the mother of two beautiful daughters.  Alhough her first baby girl was stillborn, she was blessed six years later with another beautiful baby girl. Motherhood has been her greatest accomplishment to date.

Writing Pieces of Us, has been another one of her accomplishments. Writing was always a cathartic experience for her. She would conjure up stories and poems to express how she felt and how she viewed the world. Over the years, Barbara accumulated several poems and short stories and would often share them with anyone who would listen. After retiring with over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, she decided it was time to gather a collection of her best poems and self-publish her first book. In 2016, Pieces of Us was published.  She has recently transitioned from poetry to writing short stories and is currently working on a book of shorts titled Shattered Pieces. The projected publication date is June 2021.

Barbara holds a M.S. in Information Systems Management and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems, both of which have afforded her the opportunity to become an adjunct professor at one of Oklahoma’s two-year colleges.  She currently work as a Computer Scientist for the U.S. Air Force.

About her book
Pieces of Us Poetry and Pearls for the bold, broken, and beautiful, is much more than your typical collection of poetry, each piece is based on a real-life subject in which I eloquently scribed to evoke a heart-to-heart connection with my readers. I take my readers on a vivid journey through joy, pain, triumph, and tragedy. My intent is for my collection to encourage and inspire the bold, broken, and beautiful among us.

He tries to put the reader in the characters shoes by using everyday situations and events that the reader can truly relate to. His timely humor and sharp wit comprised with a thought-provoking message tends to grasp the reader’s attention and keeps it throughout the entire book. He is a Navy veteran and graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria with a BA in Information Systems.

Bayou Drama – Love in the City: Many stories of love and dram filled the Bayou City’s air. Bayou Drama is a collection of short but intense stories told in five different points of view.

Michael is an emotionally charged husband caught in a tangled web of confusion and deceit. He is feverishly in love with his wife of fifteen years but she takes his love for granted and puts career before marriage. Can Michael accept his wife's decision or will he be tempted by another and bring even more drama in an already strained equation.

Alice is a woman who has it all; a career, her independence, and a sincere confidence of who she is. No man can tame her and she feels no man will until she meets Greg a shy but confident man who knows what he wants in his life as well as his relationship. When the two meet sparks fly but has Alice truly met her match? Or has Greg bit off more than he can chew?

Shonda a newbie to the Houston area looking for love and a new start allows her to meet Tony a very comical employee who is taken by her charm and her beauty. Shonda is intrigued with his honesty and humor as well as his ...appetite. Can they live happily ever after or will drama intervene one more time in this seemingly modern day fairytale.

These compelling stories in Bayou Drama will grip your heart; making you laugh, cry and fight for the lovers. In the end, you will view your relationships and the drama surrounding them in a new light.
