About her book
I wanted to create this platform to allow individuals to share their story on how they are impacting the world in their own way.  From the minister, attorney, doctor, caregiver, singer, nurse, soldier, and the everyday person who decided to Make It Happen! These individuals have recognized that there is a calling in their lives to never stop until their mission is complete.  I wanted people to share their stories on how despite the failures, disappointments, illnesses, or struggles, they were able to “Make It Happen.”  See life is full of setbacks.  There are always peaks and valleys that you will need to walk or climb.  Through it all it is up to you to Make It Happen

Synopsis

Queens Who Defied the Odds, Resiliency Is Not Just Surviving but Thriving is an Anthology about 22 Woman who faced adversity and gained understanding of the personal challenges they faced. We overcame these challenges and gained powerful tools which help them to survive and thrive. In my Chapter I talked about how I survive being in a coma for two weeks. In short, I was hospitalized with a simple case of pneumonia, but it was far worst than I could ever image. I slipped into a coma after suffering a seizure/stroke. I was in that coma for about two weeks or more not knowing if I would live or die, let alone wake up again. As I laid there, my brother Moses passed away from cancer. But I was reminded that there is power in the name of Jesus, healing power, comforting power in times of hardship. I realize it was Jesus who had the power to break the chains that were binding me. When I woke up from the coma my doctors stabilize my condition, and I was transferred to a rehabilitation center. I worked extremely hard for I had to relearned everything. I mean I had learned how to walk, dress, wash, and eat myself. For me, the hardest part of rehabilitation was learning how to walk again. During this time one Scripture kept coming to and that was Isaiah 41:10 ESV. Why, because I was fearful. I really did not know what the future held for me. I want to leave you with these words of encouragement. First read Hebrews 11:1 ESV which says, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” I had faith my God would leave or abandoned me. Just because I could not see him at work in my life, I had faith to believe he would answer my prayers. Max Lucado says, “Meet your fears with faith and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., says, “Faith is taking the first steps even when you do not see the whole staircase.” Having faith can make your connection with the Lord stronger. My faith has never been stronger. God is always watching over you as he was watching over me in good times and in bad.

Elijah R. Freeman is from Riverdale, Georgia and is quickly becoming known as "The Future of Urban Fiction." Having experienced the trenches on both the streets and behind the wall, he gives you specifics, a far cry from the general tales of hoodlife the urban genre has become accustomed to.

In 2011 he was inspired to write Urban Fiction after reading "Trust No Man" by LockDown Publications C.E.O CA$H. After many rejected manuscripts, he signed with TMA and in 2017 he released his debut novel, "To Live With No One To Love." Encouraged by his writing mentor Thomas Habersham (author of "Circle of Death"), he took up a correspondence course with Stratford Career Institute and after obtaining his Creative Writing Diploma, he signed his first traditional contract alongside the Urban face who had inspired him as a juvenile. He hopes to deliver a positive message to his generation in a way that they'll receive, and to prove without contradiction that Urban Fiction is alive and well.

Writing was never my dream. I just found myself at a point in my life where it was all I had," he says. "The sky was the limit, and I reached for it." Elijah R. Freeman is working hard on his second trilogy with Lockdown Publications and is building the brand for his own company, URBAN AINT DEAD.

Synopsis

Kush is the very definition of Daddy's little girl. Whatever she wants, she gets. There's no Santa Claus or Tooth Fairy in the hood, just Daddy, her knight in shining armor. But when he was murdered, her life spirals out of control. A child in the hands of a negligent mother, Kush is forced to kill in self defense. Sent to YDC and later orphaned, she meets Redd in the streets of Atlanta. Together they link up with Bear, a mastermind who is seemingly a Jack of all trades. DEPRESSION AND THE WOMAN OF GOD; My Journey to Healing, is my story, my truth, and my journey.

A journey from being a depressed little girl to a depressed drug addict to a depressed Woman of God.
I become very transparent, as I share the good, the bad, and the ugly, but I also share the healing,
deliverance and redemption. How GOD stepped in and guided me out of the lonely and dark place that had become my life. Armed with my faith, the Word of God, and professional help I was able to stand up to depression and take my life back.

While writing this book I was also living with a condition that is a known cause of depression called fibromyalgia, and although I have battled and overcame depression, this was still a task that I was not sure that I could do nor wanted to do. Then I was reminded that although it was my story it was ALL for God’s glory. God used me, my weakness, my story, and my life to show his strength, power and purpose for my life.

Anastasia A. Jackson loves writing. She has been writing since grade school. She has two children, and she plans to show them the world. Anastasia’s free time is spent with her sons. During the day she works in customer service. She writes every chance she gets. Anastasia’s imagination is very broad, she will envision something and bring it to life on paper. When boredom strikes Anastasia writes.

About her book

Path (noun)- a route, course, or track along which something moves.
No matter where you’ve been or where you are going, your other half is out there, and your paths will cross. What does that mean for Wynter and Malachi when their paths cross?
Wynter Myers is educated, smart, and has a full ride to Spelman College. Living with her parents she has always been surrounded by love. She knew one day she would be married just like her parents and have a great love story.
Malachi Evans, a smart jock, with a full ride to Harvard can’t let go of the things that will cause him to lose everything that he has worked so hard for. Being as though he was raised by his mother, he knew exactly how to love a woman, he just chose not to. Being a player seemed much more pleasant.
Malachi runs into Wynter one day and he felt something he’s never felt for any other woman, a feeling that made him believe that Wynter was “The One.” Their paths crossed but then something unexpectedly happens, and the path suddenly changes directions.
Malachi was crushed!
Wynter was sad!
Will their paths ever cross again or was that the end of the road?
Follow Wynter and Malachi in When Paths Cross to find out exactly where the path leads them.
