After graduating from Eau Claire high School in Columbia, South Carolina, she attended Auburn University where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Business. She also attended South University to obtain a bachelors in Legal Studies. Not feeling quite complete she went on to obtain her Masters in Organizational Development and Human Resources before recently completing her Jurist Doctor. She is no stranger to writing, as her first work was published at the tender age of 8 which earned her an invitation to the National Poetry Society and Poet of the year for Poetry.com. Michelle decided to switch from her first love of writing poetry to writing fiction. Breaking all boundaries, Michelle has created a clothing line with authors as its base called Fiction Addiction which launched summer of 2016. Having gone through her own personal struggles in the publishing world, Michelle has decided to create an author development program entitled So You Want to be an Author, where she covers the basics of writing, marketing and publishing. In addition to consulting with new writers, she is working with a host of industry professionals to ensure that authors have a strong network to support them in their writing endeavors.
