Author Y. Deonna's first three novels all debuted as a #1 bestsellers in their category. She is a native of South Carolina and started pursuing her writing career while attending the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work. However, Y. Deonna's love affair with books began when her first-grade teacher gave her a book that she cherishes to this day. Fascinated by how writers weave words into masterpieces, she knew she would one day do the same. It is her desire fuse together her passion for advocating for trauma survivors and her faith in God to build strong characters and powerful storytelling.
