Regina Smith-Gipson “Author Reina Queen” is an urban fiction author signed with Soulja Choc Presents. Reina Queen is a native of Mansfield, Louisiana but is currently living in Monroe, Louisiana. She graduated from Mansfield High School and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems Support from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (formerly Northeast Louisiana University). She has had a passion for writing since high school, beginning with writing poetry. It was a short story written in college that had her mind set that she could be a writer when the professor believed her nonfiction story was actually based upon true life events. After a few setbacks, she thought it would be impossible for her to resume her passion for reading and her dreams of writing. After reading her first ever Urban Fiction novel, she realized her passion was for Urban Fiction. She started writing as a hobby until she received motivation from some friends that she should pursue it telling her “it won't hurt to try, you will never know until you do.” She never thought she would make it to this spot of being a published author. Pushing through obstacles and staying focused, she kept in mind to not give up, to accomplish her goal and use her gift. As an older person starting out in this industry, she thought the industry was mostly for the younger people, especially Urban Fiction. She knew she had the talent but was just scared to pursue it. “Never let fear stop you from being what you want to be. God has given us all gifts and we need to use them. If I would have sat on my gift, I would be giving up and not making a good example for my daughter.” Her hobbies include spending time with her family, reading, cooking, and staying involved with her church.

About her book

After finding love and giving up the streets for his family, one slip up can make him lose it all. When a revelation is made and the truth surfaces, Zyir must not stop in order to save his family. After the shootout with Amir and Kyree, he struggles to put the pieces together. Nothing is as it seems, what should have been isn’t, and where happiness lies people are out to destroy it. When his family is put in danger, Zyir has to return to his old ways in order to take down the person that is trying to tear his family apart.

With the birth of twins and her son, A’Shunti is more cautious of everyone around her. When a ghost from her past emerges, she does all she can to keep her family together - just to watch it fall apart right before her eyes. With both Amir and Kyree missing, everything is up for grabs and no one knows what will happen.

Can their love overpower the ones that are trying to take them down, or will their relationship crumble as well? What actually happened at the shootout? Everything is not what it seems, and fairy tales may not come true in this second installment of Secret Indiscretions.
