Olivia Shaw began writing short stories at the age of 7, and by the time she turned 9, she had already written a full-length novel. Today, at 25, Olivia has served as the Senior Editor-in-Chief at Girlfriends Health Guide for Everyday Women, staff writer and editor at FELLAS, A Men’s Guide To Healthy Living; contributing writer at Rep Da King Christian Magazine (Atlanta, GA) and contributing reporter at Milwaukee Times Newspaper. She is now focused on her true passion and God-given calling: authoring novels.

Olivia is an inspirational writer who focuses on the spiritual and mental empowerment of the individual. In November 2015, she released her debut novel, "Soul Cry," a book written in just under two weeks. With her writing, she hopes to encourage and inspire people, all while giving God glory and entertaining book lovers. In February 2016, she signed to an exclusive contract with Kindred Soul Publications, and her urban romance novel, Andrue and Sy'mone: An Urban Love Affair, was released in April 2016 to critical acclaim. The book's sequel was released in June 2016.

Her desire is to bring a new genre to the industry: Christian Urban Romance. She prides herself for bringing three Es to the table: encouragement, empowerment, and entertainment. She currently resides in her hometown, Milwaukee, WI, with her family and fiancé, and is working on three additional books for a fall/winter release.

About her book, Andrue & Sy'mone: An Urban Love Affair

For Sy'mone Gregory, there is just one thing you don't mess with: her three children. When that line is crossed, all hell breaks loose. With the help of her new beau, she sets out to reclaim her peace of mind and rebuild her family, even if it means compromising her Christianity.

Officer Raj Maxwell was simply doing his job when he fell in love with his incredibly sexy neighbor, Sy'mone. Dangerously in love, he risks his job, life, and the safety of his young daughter, as he vows to protect and serve Sy'mone and her children.

Andrue Knight is Sy'mone's bipolar ex-husband and cannot seem to get over her so he commits one of the biggest criminal offenses to grab her attention. He vows that if he can't have her, no one else can.

Join Andrue, Sy'mone, and Raj in the fight of their lives.

This story did not turn out anyway that I had assumed it would. It was definitely filled with suspense but the ending was crazy!!! I just knew Symone had found the perfect match in Drue, after everything she had been through. He seemed to genuinely care for her & want to protect her. He held his secrets & psychotic ways in really good. Anjelo was just as crazy. Im sure they were plotting on Symone the entire time & the way she met Drue may not have been coincidence. I felt bad for India but her situation was the only way Symone found out the truth. I hope Anyaa is as genuine as she seems. The plan to move away was genious, but Drue has to have some type of help to keep finding Symone. You know the book is good when you are feeling all types of emotions for the characters. I was actually praying for the boys at the end of the book. Waiting on part two to see what happens with everyone & if Raj is too good to be true, like Drue was. Good job Author Olivia.--Amazon, Tammie S. (Five Stars) 4/18/16
