"Writing has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager. As a writer, I tend to throw so much of my quirky personality into my characters. My stories are all fictional, of course, but every story has some parts of things that have actually happened in my life. I love to test the waters in my writing.
Whether it’s the crazy things they say or the racy romantic encounters, I like to push it to the edge to leave my readers wanting more. In my books or my projects, as I like to call them, I like to show a strong sense of family and togetherness for the most part. Coming from a large family that supports each other has served me well in my writing because I like to believe the bonds my characters have are actually believable, you can tell they really love one another. I really wanted to do suspense in the beginning, but everything I seemed to do, in my opinion, needed a good romance to balance it. I fit mostly into the romance category, but all of my projects have plot twists like you wouldn’t expect, also giving them the suspense factor I so desperately craved. I get so excited when I begin a new project because I get to put more of my off the wall sayings and crazy personality into my new cast. My writing style is classified in so many ways. I do romance, it’s my main thing, but I throw a splash of suspense and loads of intrigue to really drive my point home. I’ve been writing professionally for two years now, and I have seven published projects and the eight, entitled The Vegas Valentine Cartel: An Urban Romance 2, will be out this Month. In total, I have about sixteen books written and am working on number seventeen. I focus best with music on my headphones while throwing all the crazy ideas I have together to come up with amazing stories. In short, I love what I do, and I put so much of myself into my writing and try to make each story relatable and exciting. My secret is music. I can put on a smooth R&B soundtrack and the ideas just pour in." -M. Skye About her book Cree Olsen’s life is pure, unadulterated hell.
