"I was born and raised in a small South Louisiana town called Ville Platte. My hometown shaped me into the person I am today. I started writing little short stories at about age 11. I enjoyed the thrill of creating a world via pen and paper.  Reading and Writing has always been my strong points, even in school. I excelled with daily journals and essays. Still today I write my thoughts and even prayers on paper.  During the completion of high school I suffered the loss of my mother and then father to the system. Although those traumatic experiences were a bit life halting, I proceeded to further my education. I attended LSUE for two years and later finishing off at Remington College with a degree in Medical Billing & Coding/Medical Assistant in 2013. Although I enjoy being in the medical field, writing is my LOVE. Writing is my passion alongside reading. Urban fiction has always been my genre of choice while reading.  I started writing publically on Wattpad where I developed a "reader base". People fell in love with the plots and characters I created. I took that push and took a shot at publication. I published my first book "Mancell's Reign: Daughter of a King Pin" in Feb 2016. On 9/15/16 I was diagnosed with Keratoconus, which is a degenerative eye disease in my right eye. Currently awaiting a corneal transplant, but using this experience as a test of faith and a motivation to go harder! I am just trying to write my way into History and hopefully to your hearts!" -Kiara Serie

About her book, Unsympathetic: Amira's Way

Amira Wright one of the top lawyers at Wright & Curtis Law Firm. Law firm own by her family. Her dad was an attorney, her mom was an attorney, and her sisters were both an attorney, so she ended up being an attorney as well. She always had the finer things in life as long as she lived the life her parents wanted her to live. She lacked a social life and love life, all because she allowed her parents to dictate that as well. Her sisters were married, she was the last one left. What happens when she stumbles across an unlikely love opposite of what her parents would allow?& Would she finally allow herself to be Unsympathetic and live her own life? And will this unlikely love bring her into more than she bargained for?
Markell Davis, Former Ex-Con Drug Lord, now taking the right path for a better life for him and his daughter. What happens when he’s set up for a crime he didn’t commit? Will his lawyer get him out? Will he find love on the way or will he stick to his “No Love “Memo? Will mishaps bring him back to his old ways despite his new found happiness and better ways?
