First Lady K was born March 11th in a small town of Gatesville, Texas and has proven to be a true Southern Belle. Known to many as Miss Thicker than a Snicker, she spent her teenage years sneaking and reading authors such as Zane and Omar Tyree. It was then that she fell in love with urban fiction. Growing up, she would create characters through her short stories and poetry. Coming from an environment of struggle, she used writing to deal with the sufferings she faced throughout her life and writing became her outlet.

As she got older, she continuously told herself and others that she was going to tell her story. It was in 2014 that she became serious and put her ink pen to paper debuting her first series, It Ain’t Trickin’ If You Got It, under Royalty Publishing House. The rest as they say….is history.

She considers herself a modern day Renaissance woman because of her various talents, accolades, and skills which include a Bachelor of Arts from Bennett College for Women, and a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice and Human Services from Liberty University. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated to whom she believes has greatly contributed to her character of womanhood through their constant support and love. She is an avid member in the community to which she organized and spearheads the Hunger Doesn’t End With the Holidays campaign designed to feed needy families year round.

She is the founder and CEO of First Lady K Presents, established in January 2016, and has many successful authors that display their literary talents to the world. Currently she is signed to David Weaver Presents and has published ten titles as of date. She now resides in Greensboro, North Carolina with her husband and three beautiful sons.

What’s next? Only her pen knows……

Synopsis of A Dope Boy Love Affair:
True to her name, Vanilla Sky is a lusciously sweet escape in the form of toe-curling sex appeal. An ambitious college student with a bright future within arm’s reach, her family is dealt a devastating blow that threatens their livelihood. Determined to win at all costs, Vanilla crosses over to the dark side and puts her dangerous curves to work to claim her family’s shot at a better life. What starts out as a normal night at work ends with her witnessing a chain of events that will forever change her life. When she finds herself in the murderous sights of an all too familiar face, she’s torn between going underground to keep her family safe, or maintaining her role as the sole provider for ailing mother and special needs brother. Will she make the right choice?

Tommy Rivers is the love of Vanilla’s life, but he’s been keeping a bombshell of a secret that just so happens to carry a hefty price tag-her life. His world is turned upside down when his secret lands front and center, putting Vanilla and her family in jeopardy. How will he choose between staying loyal to the Rivers’ bloodline, or leaving the family empire behind to follow his heart?
Tommy and Vanilla love each other endlessly, but their secrets make them strangers and with a city full of ulterior motives, they’ll both be left searching for the truth. Will their secrets be the very things that save the two of them in the end?
