During her senior year in high school Chandra's Creative Writing teacher gave her an A on the final (a short story) and wrote “when you become famous don’t change your name.” Chandra’s first fiction novel “Living Ghetto Fabulous” was self-published in 2006. Her second book, “Vanilla Dream” was published by La Femme Fatale in October, 2012.
Aside from one day being a “known” author, she aspires to help the youth. Her thought is if as a community everyone came together to help the young people, maybe there wouldn’t be so much violence, drugs, sex and teen pregnancy. So although her works can be construed as erotic, gritty or urban, she is simply trying to keep it real with the youth so they know what’s going on and know that there are consequences for the decisions all people make.
