Meet Allissen Jones

Author and Breast Cancer Survivor Allissen Jones Presents The Valley Of Baca 
An inspiring memoir of spiritual growth, self-help, and healing. 

Allissen Jones holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology, a nursing license specializing in psychiatric disorders and an Masters of Science in Clinical psychology. She is currently completing working toward her doctorate in Clinical Psychology. 

Allissen is passionate about the study of mental illness and the power of thought. She’s also worked at maximum level security prisons with the severely mentally ill, which has helped her understand behavior.

At the age of thirty-one, I sat and watched the fabric of my life unravel. 
There was a strain on the center of the material and the fabric began to cave.

The fabric of my life appeared to be woven into a beautiful pattern; the pattern was full of vibrant colors and strong fibers.
Fibers built from traditional patterns of religion, hard work and education. My experiences and choices in life made the fabric appear strong. 
Appearances can be deceiving! However, generally reveal a snippet of real elements.
Everything I built my world on had to be questioned: “What do you believe? And Why?”
At the center of my unraveling, I was asked one question: “Who Do You Say That I AM?”
The very detailed and painful process of truly looking at the fabric of my life was necessary for truth and faith. Developing and standing on a position or behavior is not powerful without understanding. 
The antagonist in my story may look like cancer, but I challenge you to take a closer look. 
Let us look at the phases of breaking apart ANY challenge, ANY trial, and ANY misunderstanding. 
Deconstruction, Ascension, and Manifestation.
Let us make our fabric stronger with the thread of truth. Let’s pass from lower levels of understanding to enlightenment (Our ability to see our lives in totality) and grow from strength to strength in God.
