Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your book. : I do not believe anyone really has just a little to say about themselves. Each year you are alive unfolds folios full of stories, lessons, and understandings of what life is really about. I am a person on a journey of understanding, each day I learn something new and fill the pages of my note books with these lessons. Men Are Not The Problem is one of those stories. It takes you into the mentality of the character, you experience her pain and triumph as if it were your own.
Selene, our young protagonist, faced more than her average share of life's ill wills. Yet, through it all she has manage to keep a clear view, which allows her to over come her own self sabotage.
Who is your target audience? What group of people would you like for your book to reach? : The story itself with its rough edges and blunt in your face moments I think is sell-able to both male and female audiences. There is something to be learned in this story by all who read it. However due to the rated R sexual scenes I could not in good conscious recommend it to anyone younger than 17 years old.
What inspired you to become an author and write this book? Who/What is your biggest influence? : It was an epiphany. I used to write all the time when I was younger. It was my outlet. I was the only person I knew that was punished by their parent by taking away their books. Yet, writing was something I only thought of as a secret window to all the places I could pen myself into. I never thought of doing it as a career. Now I wonder why had it taken me so long to figure it out.
But I guess that is how life works sometimes. You may have been carrying something with you for years. Something that seemed insignificant at the time. However like all things predestined, at the right moment it will reveal itself for what it was, a muse to influence your best work.
That is what happen to me. A journal that had been given to me by a close friend years ago reminded me of the healing power of words. It inspired me to write this novel. (read more)

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your book. : I am the author of three books of poetry: The Confessional Heart of a Man, The Chocolate Rose, and The Book of 24 Orgasms. The Chocolate Rose is actually an erotic anthology, but my poetry is prominent throughout. Chicago is my home and my birthplace. The Book of 24 Orgasms is a departure from "erotic" poetry or spoken word that is commonly heard or read. This book focuses and references intercourse and genitalia sure, but not in the crude, offensive, or vulgar way that has been accepted. The Book of 24 Orgasms is a throw back to literary terms like "tumescence" and "detumescence," illusions, and imagery. The number "24" references the number of poems contained in the book and the hours in a day that equate to twenty four orgasms. It is a great sensual departure for the mind. (read more)

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your book. : I am a self-published author and a student at Argosy University where I am studying Psychology. I am closing in on my Bachelors degree. I like to read, play video games, shop when I can and writing is my absolute passion.
My first novel, "Pascal's Life" is one of those novels that could be outcasted. It is not the typical urban/hip-hop lit title. It covers various issues in our world and displays street vernacular. My second effort, "Pantaegeous" is purely dramatic and comical. Suspense will be evident although it won't be overdone. (read more)
