    • FAQ
When did you know you wanted to become a writer?: I don't know if that decision was mine to make sometimes. Sometimes I think writing chose me. It was as if once I made the decision my whole person accepted it. I must admit, it’s been a journey, I haven't been writing for while, so I'm learning to flex my literary muscles again. But each day I write, and read, I reaffirm this is what I am met to be doing.

Is there a specific message in your book you want your readers to grasp?: Yes, everyone is messed up in their own way. But its not the bad that defines us;  it’s our ability to overcome no matter what the obstacles. Sometimes all we need to do is realize that we have indeed F%^& up, take responsibility and moved on, with lessons learned.

How has your family/friends supported your new and upcoming book? : My family has supported me in all the ways I expected them to. My friends have been my rock, Aneesha, Susie, Lucien are always great minds to bounce things off of. My husband, who I fondly refer to as a monk for his keel and even temperament, is wonderful. My grandmother-in-law loves reading my words and is a great supporter. On the whole I would say I was pretty lucky.

What’s next?:      I have a journal coming out this year. I had writer’s block and started writing to free my mind. However this journal wanted out. So I wrote it. That's how it is. You can’t really fight what's inside you trying to come out.

Besides that, I’m happy to say that Selene does have another novel coming out next year. I can't say much, but I can say that there are always hurdles to overcome on all levels in life. And situations that make you feel like no matter how far you've come, you can always be pulled back down again.
