Christine Pauls is a Delawarean, born and raised in the city of Wilmington. As a self-published author, her first novel, To Begin Again, was released in April of 2012, but the manuscript was completed a little after her 50th birthday, back in December, 2010. She has worked in the field of Finance for 36 years and counting, currently an accountant in the banking industry. Christine is the youngest of 12 siblings, four are deceased, has two adult daughters, one son in law, and two grandsons. She is working on her second project, Belinda's Song, which is a heart-wrenching tale of a child's life events, after her mother is murdered when she was six years old. This project, she hopes to have out in 2015, or possibly sooner. Her third project, One Good Thing, is in its beginning stages, and will focus on three sisters from Lula, MS, whose life lessons will cause them to have to finally lean on each other. You can find Christine's book on Amazon, BN and kindle devices. Her book also is available in her hometown's public library in Wilmington, DE.

About her book
To Begin Again

Birmingham, Alabama, fifteen year old Celeste Stanton’s life revolves around the strict religious upbringing of her aunt Ruby Stanton who has raised her since birth after her mother’s death. Her world consists of church and more church. But when the pastor’s son, Jordon Jackson, confesses his love for her, they become more than just friends. Her first sexual encounter, changes her life forever. Shelby is born. Becoming a mother at 17 would bring challenges not once but twice; Claudia is born eighteen months later; causing her to grow up faster than she could blink, but where there’s a will, there’s a way and she manages to survive with the support of her family, and best friend Joy. She experiences heartbreak, love and tragedy and learns that life is a constant; it never stays the same. To Begin Again is the story of life's lessons; it's a story of the sheer will to persevere in spite of what obstacles may be in your way. It's a story of learning that what we have been taught, no matter how much we felt we were being lectured and hovered over, it was for our good and it was all because of love. Celeste will find out all of those lessons and more.

Most Favorite Book Review
To Begin Again is a novel that truly lives up to its title. This story is set in Birmingham Alabama and centers on the life of young Celeste. She is raised by her strict Aunt Ruby and is only allowed to enjoy church, church and more church. When Celeste sets her sights on the Pastor Jackson’s son Jordon, one bad decision sends her life into a downward spiral. Nevertheless, she manages to pick up the pieces and move on until the next tragedy occurs that is. Year after year, Celeste tries to press into the next phase of her life but she continues to face adversity. How she handles each situation determines her ability to begin again.

The pace of this novel was interesting to say the least. The first half read at a pace that was of a calm and moderately-moving nature, all the while holding my attention. I felt as if I was sitting on a porch swinging in the summer breeze and the story was rocking me back and forth. The second half took off and it was filled with drama that I wasn’t expecting. It made me say, “Ok Christine let’s go!” The main character was well-developed and I could feel her pain as she endured her trials and learned some of life’s hardest lessons. I read this book in only a few hours and I enjoyed it. I give it Four Stars!

4STAR Great read.....Lawrence makes me excited! By Siren on April 29, 2013
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Some reviews crack me up. Getting mad because a fiction book was not realistic. If that is not an oxymoron...LOL

I really liked this book and I loved Lawrence even more. He got me excited and I do not even know why! This is where the fiction vs. non-fiction comes into play. In my fantasy land, I had no problem with the way he raised his daughters. I thought the twins were everything, They made me so proud being quick to pull a trigger, yet carrying out methodical plans before doing so. I favored Monique because she was not hot headed and absorbed all details, so she could make informed decisions. Now, in real life; there is no freaking way in h3ll that I wouild let my husband raise my daughters like that. I would body him myself. Reading about gangsters is different from playing gangster.

I knew what time it was with Jamal and I did not like him from day 1. I think it had to do with how he was talking in the barbershop. I hate men like that; bragging on pu$$y that they have never had a whiff of. His fate was well deserved.

I want Domonique and Shadow to get together. Forget Desmond...who is he anyway...LOL...

I am looking forward to part II and cannot wait to see the aftermath of the horse ranch. Dollar need to get it in the worst way.

About her book
Diary of a Freak

There is a dark side to every freak. Sexually, it takes a lot from a woman when her innocence is taken away. Some people hate sex for this reason, but others use sex as an escape as to what is really going on in their life. I dedicated this book to all the freaks that are scared to tell his or her story. Many of the stories in this book will hit home for some people, and it is time to stop hiding behind all the secrets and lies that we, as humans, tend to do every day.
The beginning of this book explains the dark side of every character. This book will go from the present to the past and back to the present. Welcome into the world of us crazy freaks.

I am a 25 year old native from Linden, NJ. I am a single mother to four beautiful children. I am signed to Kindred Soul Publications. I have written four books that are out: Maybach and His Boo Thang 1-3, and Akir&Jamila: All he needed was a rider.
I can be quoted as saying, "I write out of pure passion for the art. My readers can expect honesty, sincerity and a great story line." I am looking forward to presenting my debut novel to the masses.

About her book
Akir&Jamila: All he needed was a rider

Akir became the man of the house at a young age, taking care of his twin brother and sister. He wasn’t what you would call hood rich, but he was well on his way there. Every chance he got he was hugging the block trying to make a way for his family, and their new house guest, Jamila, his next door neighbor and friend.
Jamila’s mother was always drunk and abusive to her and her sister. One night after a physical altercation Jamila was kicked out, and her sister was arrested. She found solace in her friend Akir who she knew would have her back. Indebted to him Jamila does the only thing that come natural- ride for him.
In this budding tale of friends and hardships, love prevails, in ways neither of them fathomed. What happens when two friends turn to lovers? Most importantly what happens when your lover friend rides for you in this cold world?

Most Favorite Book Review

About her book
Tears On My Pillow

However, Jakari has a big secret that he has managed to keep hidden from Qia for the past 14 years. He has finally made the decision to change, but is it a little too late?

In Qia's eyes she has the most loving, attentive, romantic, and faithful husband in the world. But, will the picture of her fairytale life shatter when she finds out what Jakari has really been up to? Will the love for her husband be enough to make her stay? Or, will his betrayal be enough to push her over the edge and into the arms of someone more deserving?

Take a journey with these high school sweethearts. It is certainly a long difficult one, but it will be well worth it if they can figure out what constitutes a marriage and if their marriage is really worth saving?

5.0 out of 5 starsGreat book, Awesome story
By Maya on October 10, 2015
Format: Kindle Edition
The cover is what drew me to the book. It is absolutely amazing. I was immediately captured by the first page. The sex scenes in this book was on point and off the chain. Jakari started out as a jerk to me, especially with the honeymoon extra activities. He was immediately labeled as a dog. As I got to know him there was no doubt that he loved Qia. He is just live every other man, greedy. As a woman, I have been in Qia's place and I love how she put her foot down. She made Jakari realize what was important to him. Chandler is Jakari's brother and Qia's best friend. This makes it hard when his brother keeps cheating.
The twists and the constant turns is what made this book intriguing. This is different from your typical urban fiction book. The ending of the book is another big twist that makes waiting on part 2 hard. I highly recommend this book.

Most Favorite Book Review
Birth of the Mistress was indeed a sensational & impactful read!!!! One of my favorite metaphorical phrases is "Dont judge a book by it's cover". How wonderfully astounding was it to thoroughly relish within the title of this book on an absolutely divergent absorption & understanding after my read.

A profusion of applause to Authoress Onyxx for embracing my eyes with a magnetism of well written words & providing such an array realistically exsisting occurences (unfortunate & favored) that horse-played my emotions.I unconditionally adored the moderate flow of this book because it gave me time to reside in the activity of each characters events before arriving to the next read of wonderment.Outstanding picture painting illustration.

An overall remarkable read and very much looking forward to more grind from Onyxx's beatific mind!!!
